On January 2, 2021, Governor Brad Little issued executive order 2021-01 that directed Idaho agencies to promulgate rules to temporarily resolve conflicts between state and federal law with respect to interstate hemp transportation across Idaho. The Idaho Department of Agriculture, the Idaho State Police, and the Idaho Transportation Department have collaborated to ensure the tenets of the executive order have been met efficiently, and most importantly collaborated to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the State of Idaho.
