Breath Alcohol
The breath alcohol unit is responsible for training police agency breath alcohol specialists and certifying instrument operators and breath testing instruments in Idaho. Individuals in this specialty testify in regards to the accuracy of the instruments, physiological factors involved in breath testing, interpretation of training manuals and protocols, etc. They also recommend new instruments and write training manuals for police officers.
