Alcohol Beverage ControlThe Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Bureau's mission is to ensure all establishments selling and/or producing alcoholic beverages, including liquor, beer, and /or wine are properly licensed and conform to the laws, rules, and regulations pursuant to Title 23, Idaho Code, and also to provide assistance to local law enforcement agencies in the enforcement of Title 23, Idaho Code.

Public Safety & SecurityThis group works to provide effective communications between law enforcement entities within and outside of Idaho in dealing with issues concerning domestic and foreign terrorism and any associated criminal activities.

Executive Protection/Capital Mall SecurityThese are two separate functions performed by the Idaho State Police.
- Executive Protection Unit provides security services for the Governor, his family, and other public officials upon request as authorized under Idaho Code Title 67.
- The Capitol Mall Security Unit provides uniformed law enforcement presence for all state buildings in proximity to the Capitol building. Emphasis is placed on community type policing, offering services to over 3000 state employees and visitors to the Capitol Mall area.
Financial Investigations/Cyber Crime UnitThis Unit combines the resources from varied areas of expertise to focus efforts towards detection and apprehension of the more sophisticated criminal law violators.
Specific areas of investigation include:
- White Collar Crime
- Major Drug Traffickers/Financiers
- Computer Crimes against persons and those who use computer technology to perpetrate crimes against others.
